Just wanted to let everybody you know about a new open source home automation project called OpenMotics (https://www.openmotics.com).
Our system is unique because it contains both open source hardware (schematics, firmware, …) and open source software and offers integrated home automation including controlling lights and outputs, heating and measuring power usage.
